Summary
iOS 27 removes the single system-wide Apple Intelligence toggle, forcing users on iPhone 15 Pro, iPhone 16 and newer to disable AI features one by one.
Settings menus still let users shut off AI Siri, message and mail summaries, notification summaries and priority ranking, or switch back to Siri Classic after turning Siri off.
Mail, Phone and Journal also carry separate Apple Intelligence controls, including Smart Reply personalization, voicemail suggestions, call-time business info and writing prompts.
Screen Time now houses blocks for Writing Assistance, Image Creation, Math Assistance and third-party AI extensions such as ChatGPT, making the broadest restrictions harder to find.
iOS 26 still keeps the simpler universal Apple Intelligence switch, underscoring how Apple has made its AI features more deeply embedded in the latest software.
