Summary
$90 million in Series B funding gives Nous Research fresh capital to expand beyond its developer base and launch “Hermes for Businesses,” a product for customized enterprise AI agents.
The company said businesses will be able to deploy agents for multi-step workflows while keeping data private and secure, making enterprise adoption the central use for the new round.
Nous, a three-year-old startup, has now raised $158 million in total; Robot Ventures led the round, with Nvidia, Union Square Ventures, Menlo Ventures, Samsung and 1789 Capital among participants.
Hermes has been cloned more than 24 million times and accounts for about 2.5% of global AI token usage by the startup’s estimate, giving Nous a large open-source footprint as it targets companies.
Roughly $36 million in annualized revenue by mid-September put Nous on pace to top $100 million before year-end, according to The Wall Street Journal.
