Summary
Hundreds of anti-Israel demonstrators marked the third anniversary of the Oct. 7, 2023 Hamas attack with rallies in New York, California and other states, including chants of “long live the intifada” and praise for the assault.
New York became a focal point: NYU Students for Justice in Palestine staged a 12:30 p.m. walkout, protesters gathered at Columbia’s heavily guarded gates at 2 p.m., and some of the same groups moved to Mayor Zohran Mamdani’s City Hall office by 4 p.m.
The anniversary protests were tied to a broader organizing network, with Singham-backed groups including the People’s Forum and CodePink helping mobilize larger events planned for the weekend around Oct. 7.
Fox News Digital previously reported that Neville Singham has funneled $278 million into allied nonprofits since 2017, including $22.44 million to the People’s Forum; federal prosecutors in Manhattan opened a grand jury probe into his finances in June, though he has not been charged.
The demonstrations came three years after Hamas-led attackers killed about 1,200 people and abducted more than 250 hostages, an anniversary that trauma specialists said was being used to disrupt mourning and amplify activist messaging.
