Summary
Game 3 ended in a 4-3 Rays win Wednesday, completing a 3-0 ALDS sweep that sent the Yankees out of the playoffs.
Aaron Boone said the clubhouse was "broken" after the loss and deflected questions about his job security, saying those talks were for another day.
Nine seasons under Boone have produced 8 playoff berths but no World Series title, with New York reaching the Fall Classic only once, in 2024.
A 17-year championship drought and another early exit have intensified fan anger toward Boone and general manager Brian Cashman, even with Aaron Judge sidelined by injury.
