Oklahoma Dismisses 4-Star Freshman Jahsiear Rogers Days Before Red River Rivalry

Summary
Oklahoma dismissed true freshman wide receiver Jahsiear Rogers on Thursday and removed him from the roster ahead of Saturday’s game against Texas in Dallas.
No reason was given for the move, but it aligns with coach Brent Venables’ strict program standards, a point underscored by former Sooner Gabe Ikard’s public defense of respecting the program.
Rogers arrived from Delaware as a 4-star recruit who chose Oklahoma over Alabama, Nebraska and Penn State, giving the departure added weight despite his limited role.
Through the first month of the 2026 season, Rogers had played just 6 offensive snaps with 0 catches after posting 5 receptions for 70 yards in the spring game.
