Summary
India could get two OnePlus flagships by December 2026 or January 2027, with tipster Gadgetsdata saying the OnePlus 16R is very likely and the second model is likely the OnePlus 16.
That would reverse earlier expectations that OnePlus might skip top-end launches in India, while the OnePlus 16 is already set to debut in China on October 12.
The 16R is rumored to mirror the OnePlus Ace 7, with a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chip, 6.78-inch 1.5K OLED display, 185Hz refresh rate and a 9,000mAh battery with 100W charging.
Camera upgrades are also tipped, including a 200MP main sensor and 50MP telephoto lens with 3.5x optical zoom; pricing is pegged at Rs 70,000-Rs 75,000 versus the 15R's Rs 47,999 launch price.
A OnePlus return to India's flagship segment would intensify competition as iQOO 16, Motorola Signature 27 and Xiaomi 18 Pro are also confirmed for the market.
