Summary
Jordan Battle told reporters the Bengals spotted a pre-throw cue in Dolphins quarterback Malik Willis' motion ahead of Sunday's Week 5 matchup in Miami.
Battle said Willis gives a slight tap or briefly takes his hand off the ball before throwing, a habit Cincinnati hoped to use to jump routes.
Jeff Hafley brushed off the disclosure after Miami's 35-13 Week 2 loss to San Francisco, saying many quarterbacks use similar timing rhythms but adding the Dolphins would gladly take any shared tendencies.
Fans blasted Battle on social media for publicizing a scouting edge as the 2-2 Bengals try to halt a two-game skid against the 0-4 Dolphins.
