Selma Blair, 54, was issued an FBI summons accusing her of assaults aboard a Delta flight from Los Angeles to New York after authorities said two flight attendants were injured.
The case will go through petty violations court in federal court in Brooklyn, where no appearance date has been set.
JFK Port Authority police took Blair into custody after the plane reached the gate late Sunday, and both Blair and one flight attendant were taken to a hospital for evaluation.
Blair's representative said a medical emergency led to the alleged conduct, while Delta said it has zero tolerance for unruly or unlawful behavior.
The summons follows an FBI investigation into alleged assaults on aircraft, and it revives scrutiny after Blair apologized for a 2016 flight incident involving alcohol and medication.
