Summary
$199.99 Apple Watch SE 3 brings Apple’s S10 chip to the budget line, adding on-device Siri for basic requests, double-tap and wrist-flick gestures, and 64GB of storage.
A 40mm aluminum model now gets an always-on Retina display that peaks at 1,000 nits, dims to 2 nits, and uses Ion-X glass Apple says is four times more crack-resistant than the prior SE.
Battery life is rated at 18 hours in normal use or 32 hours in Low Power Mode; a 15-minute charge delivers up to 8 hours, and 45 minutes reaches 80%.
Health features expand with temperature sensing, second-generation optical heart-rate tracking, Sleep Score, and sleep-apnea warnings, while fall detection, crash detection, SOS, and Check In remain included.
The lower price cuts the SE from $249 and positions it as a cheaper entry to core Apple Watch features, though it still requires an iPhone 11 or later running iOS 16 or newer.
