Summary
Jeanine Pirro said Tuesday that the U.S. attorney’s office in Washington is investigating Rep. Ilhan Omar’s financial disclosures after filings tied to her husband’s businesses showed a reported asset jump from as much as $51,000 in 2023 to as much as $30 million in 2024.
The scrutiny centers on Tim Mynett-linked eStCru LLC and Rose Lake Capital LLC, whose reported values rose to ranges of $1 million-$5 million and $5 million-$25 million, respectively, before Omar amended the disclosures in April.
That amendment cut the couple’s reported assets to roughly $18,004-$95,000, saying the original filings failed to account for business liabilities; Omar has repeatedly denied wrongdoing and said she is not a millionaire.
The federal disclosure probe surfaced a day after agents searched Omar’s Washington home in a separate criminal investigation involving immigration paperwork, though authorities have not said the two matters are connected.
A House watchdog in September recommended dismissing misconduct allegations over the disclosures, finding no substantial reason to believe Omar violated federal law or House rules.
