Summary
Prime Video has released all episodes of Mike Flanagan’s new “Carrie,” his first TV series for Amazon after leaving Netflix in 2022.
Summer H. Howell stars as Carrie White, a sheltered teenager pushed into public high school after her father’s death, where a viral bullying scandal and emerging telekinetic powers drive the story.
The premiere uses a split timeline, pairing Carrie’s early school trauma with later survivor interviews that point to a deadly community tragedy and confirmed character deaths.
Flanagan’s adaptation of Stephen King’s novel appears to frame Carrie as a sympathetic figure rather than a straightforward villain, extending themes of adolescence, grief and social-media cruelty.
