EU Filing Lists iPhone Duo Battery at 4,883 mAh, Above Galaxy Z Fold8 Rated Capacity

Q: An EU leak just exposed the iPhone Duo's hidden battery specs, but does this massive capacity guarantee all-day foldable performance?

No. A rated 4,883 mAh battery is strong evidence that the iPhone Duo has a relatively large battery for a foldable, but capacity alone does not guarantee all-day performance. The leaked EU product sheet for model A3720 puts the Duo slightly above Samsung’s foldables on rated capacity and between Apple’s iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max. But the same document also shows why mAh is only part of the story: the Duo’s EU endurance rating is 51 hours 30 minutes per cycle, essentially level with the iPhone 18 Pro’s 52 hours and well below the Pro Max’s 62 hours. That makes sense for a foldable. The Duo has two displays, including a 7.6-inch inner screen that uses more power when opened. Apple’s own claims reflect that tradeoff: up to 24 hours of “typical use,” up to 44 hours of video on the outer display, and 31 hours on the inner display. In other words, battery life will depend heavily on how often users rely on the large inner screen, multitasking, 5G, gaming, cameras, and AI features. There are reasons to think battery life could still be solid. Apple says the A20 Pro chip, C2 modem, vapor chamber, and dual-battery design are tuned for efficiency, and the phone supports fast charging to 50 percent in about 20 minutes wired. So the leak suggests the Duo should be competitive and likely capable of lasting a full day for many users, but not because 4,883 mAh by itself guarantees it. Real-world endurance will hinge on workload and screen choice.

A European Product Information Sheet for Apple model A3720 lists a rated battery capacity of 4,883 mAh, the first consumer-facing document to show the figure linked to the iPhone Duo foldable.
That puts the Duo between Apple’s iPhone 18 Pro at 4,056 mAh and 18 Pro Max at 5,391 mAh, and slightly above Samsung’s rated figures of 4,660 mAh for the Galaxy Z Fold8 and 4,854 mAh for the Fold8 Ultra.
The same EU sheet gives the Duo 51 hours 30 minutes of endurance per cycle, at least 1,000 charge cycles, IP68 protection, Class B drop resistance and a Class C repairability score of 2.65 out of 5.
Apple still does not publish iPhone battery capacities in mAh, and the sheet does not name the phone directly; reports tie A3720 to the international iPhone Duo, while Middle East units may use model A3719.
In the UAE, the iPhone Duo starts at AED 8,499, with pre-orders opened on October 16 and retail availability set for October 23.
