Two Dozen Volunteers Edit Arms Industry Pages in London Wikithon

Summary
About 24 volunteers gathered in central London last week to expand and improve Wikipedia entries on arms-industry subjects including Palantir, Project Maven and Nitro-Chem.
Organizers Agnes Cameron and Hannah Cobb said the monthly wikithon aims to compile better-organized public information on a topic they see as underdeveloped, while strictly following Wikipedia rules against original research and advocacy.
The effort also taps a broader diversity problem on Wikipedia, which has about 270,000 active editors, a western coverage bias and only 19% of biography entries devoted to women.
Cameron and Cobb have already drawn more than 60 participants at past Manchester and London sessions and hope to formalize the project within Wikipedia’s Military history editing network.
