Summary
SpaceX rose 10.4% in premarket trading after posting third-quarter revenue of $14.6 billion, up 161% year over year and well above the $12.72 billion LSEG consensus.
Net income reached $4.4 billion versus a $1.05 billion loss a year earlier, driven by recurring Starlink sales and rapid expansion of its AI-focused Super Intelligence unit.
That SI segment generated $7.56 billion in revenue, up from $813 million a year earlier, and executives said demand was strong enough that capacity could be rented out several times over.
Elon Musk also said he is considering combining SpaceX with Tesla, with both boards forming committees to study a consolidation that would rank as the largest merger in history.
SpaceX forecast first-quarter 2027 revenue of $33 billion to $37 billion, topping the $22.2 billion analyst estimate and lifting Tesla shares 2.1% and several AI cloud and space stocks more than 3%.
