Oct. 30 will bring Randy Houser and Riley Green to The Pinnacle in Nashville for the 250 Reel America concert, part of World Bass Enterprises' inaugural The Champions event.
The new tournament on Old Hickory Lake will pit top anglers from the Bassmaster Elite Series and Major League Fishing's Bass Pro Tour for a record $3.25 million purse, including $1.25 million to the winner.
Houser, a Mississippi native who said fishing has been central to his life since childhood, called Nashville a natural fit because of the overlap between country music fans and bass fishing audiences.
He expects strong turnout both at the concert and at lake weigh-ins, underscoring how far competitive fishing has grown from a pastime into a scholarship and big-money professional sport.
