Summary
A trailer for the canceled game Mass Effect: Universe surfaced on Reddit a day after EA shut down BioWare and ended development of the project.
The video labels itself as in-engine footage built with pre-production assets and shows an ex-soldier, a mysterious Asari, bar scenes and combat resembling the original trilogy.
Bloomberg's Jason Schreier called it a real trailer from the Mass Effect game BioWare was developing until its closure, and IGN said it verified the footage as legitimate.
The leak offers the clearest look yet at the scrapped project, while Amazon is still reportedly developing a Mass Effect TV series for Prime Video.
