Summary
An amber wind warning takes effect from 21:00 BST Saturday to 21:00 BST Sunday across much of Scotland and parts of Northern Ireland and northern England, with exposed coasts facing gusts up to 80mph.
ScotRail will cancel some services after 21:00 Saturday, and forecasters warned of travel disruption, fresh power cuts and localized flooding as heavy rain and gales spread across the UK.
More than 10,000 homes were still without electricity Friday evening after Storm Austen, even after National Grid restored power to over 60,000 properties.
Austen brought gusts above 75mph, toppled trees and blocked roads and rail lines, while part of Brighton's West Pier collapsed into the sea.
Forecasters say the stormy spell may continue into Monday and Tuesday with another Atlantic low-pressure system, though it is unclear whether that system will be named.
