Over two weeks, Engadget published more than a dozen reviews and highlighted five standout products in a new recap led by Apple’s iPhone Duo and the 2027 Rivian R2.
Apple’s first folding phone impressed reviewers by avoiding many first-generation pitfalls, though its weight, high price and still-unoptimized apps for the inner screen remained key drawbacks.
Rivian’s mid-sized R2 earned praise for power, range and family-friendly space, with Engadget suggesting some buyers may want to wait for the lower-priced base model due next year.
Ray-Ban Meta Audio glasses stood out as a camera-free smart-glasses option with longer battery life and a more normal look, while Technics’ $450 A1000 headphones delivered strong sound and ANC despite one unreliable feature.
ASUS’ ProArt P16, built around NVIDIA’s new RTX Spark chip, was judged highly capable but too expensive and specialized for most users, underscoring how crowded and niche the current device cycle has become.
