She already owns a singles pinfall over Chelsea Green from Raw in July 2025, and her résumé as a former Divas Champion gives the challenge weight. In storyline terms, the Instagram jab from Paris is effective because it keeps pressure on Green and reinforces Bella as a serious singles threat. But the stronger evidence still favors Green. Since winning the WWE Women’s Championship at SummerSlam, Green has been booked as a protected, resilient champion. She retained against Roxanne Perez and, more importantly, fought through a broken orbital bone and a face mask to stay champion against Nia Jax. That injury history has been used to frame her as tough rather than vulnerable. Timing also matters. WWE has already positioned Green for a champion-versus-champion match with Liv Morgan at Crown Jewel on Nov. 7. That does not make a title change impossible, but it suggests Green remains central to the bigger near-term plan. Bella’s latest shot looks more like escalation for SmackDown than a clear signal that WWE is ready to dethrone Green. Bella absolutely has a path to winning if WWE wants a surprise or uses outside interference, especially given past storylines showing she will bend the rules. Still, based on current booking, Green appears more likely to survive the mind games than lose her title to them.

Paris became Bella’s latest stage as Nikki Bella posted an Instagram video from the Steelers-Saints game mocking Chelsea Green’s entrance style and taunting the champion’s Hall of Fame credentials.
The jab sharpened Bella’s title pursuit ahead of this week’s "SmackDown," where she could challenge Green with Crown Jewel looming on Nov. 7.
Green has held the WWE Women’s Championship since SummerSlam, when she won a five-woman ladder match, and she just beat Roxanne Perez on the latest "SmackDown."
If Green gets past Bella, she is expected to face fellow women’s titleholder Liv Morgan at Crown Jewel, where the champions are set to meet for the Crown Jewel Championship.
The Bellas also backed New Orleans at the NFL’s first Paris game, but the Saints lost 16-10 to Pittsburgh.
