Blakeman Calls Hochul Mamdani's 'Puppet' at 1 New York Rally

Summary
Yorktown Heights rallygoers heard Republican candidate Bruce Blakeman brand Gov. Kathy Hochul a “puppet” of New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani, escalating his attack line in the governor’s race.
Blakeman said Hochul had campaigned with Mamdani this week and accused her of adopting the mayor’s agenda while failing to crack down on illegal immigration and crime.
The clash extends a broader feud over public safety: Blakeman has repeatedly tied Hochul and Mamdani together, while Mamdani has accused him of bigotry and racism after an earlier debate.
Hochul’s alliance with Mamdani comes as democratic socialists gain influence in New York politics, with the pair campaigning on affordability and child care ahead of her bid for a second full term.
