Summary
Washington returned from its Week 7 bye ranked as low as No. 29 and mostly between No. 24 and No. 27 across major NFL power rankings.
A 1-4-1 start, repeated late-game blunders and Terry McLaurin's season-ending torn patellar tendon have intensified scrutiny on coach Dan Quinn and the offense.
Daniels and Quinn were cited for recent situational mistakes, while Washington's defense has allowed 28.7 points per game through Week 7, the NFL's second-worst mark.
Philadelphia visits next with its own injury issues — Jalen Hurts is out for the season and several skill players are hurt — giving Washington a chance to steady a season many outlets say is nearing the brink.
