Summary
Josh Downs stopped short of confirming ESPN’s report that he requested a trade, but said Wednesday he is “open to whatever” and acknowledged his situation could change quickly.
The Colts receiver said he is staying focused on Indianapolis for now, adding, “My feet are here right now,” while preparing for Sunday’s game at Jacksonville.
Downs remains in the game plan, but his status by the weekend is uncertain as Indianapolis appears willing to make more moves after Tuesday’s trades and with his rookie deal expiring.
In 7 games this season, Downs has 26 catches for 307 yards; last year he posted 58 receptions, 566 yards and 4 touchdowns.
