Summary
All Milwaukee Public Schools sites will close Friday for the Brewers' World Series parade, with no classes, staff reporting, or before- and after-school activities.
MPS said the shutdown is meant to ease transportation disruptions tied to the city celebration and let students and families attend the historic event.
Milwaukee is staging the parade after the Brewers won the first World Series title in franchise history.
Milwaukee Recreation programs are also canceled, though high school postseason athletic events will still go ahead.
