Walmart Cuts 45mm LTE Pixel Watch 5 to $429.99, Matching WiFi Model

Q: Why is Walmart’s Pixel Watch 5 LTE deal the first version that makes the cellular model an easy buy over Wi‑Fi?

Walmart’s deal makes the Pixel Watch 5 LTE the easy choice because it removes the usual price penalty for cellular. The 45mm LTE model is discounted to $429.99 from $529.99, effectively matching the Wi‑Fi version’s price while adding mobile connectivity. That changes the value equation. At the same cost, buyers get the option to make calls, receive texts, stream music, use Maps, and access other services when away from their phone. For many people, that means more freedom during runs, workouts, short errands, or any time they do not want to carry a handset. The deal also strengthens the LTE model as a longer-term buy. Some carriers, including Visible and Google Fi, offer smartwatch add-ons at low or no extra cost, which reduces the ongoing downside of choosing cellular. Broader support changes across smartwatch lines also make built-in connectivity more relevant for owners thinking beyond the initial purchase. The underlying product is strong enough that the added LTE benefit matters. Reviews describe the Pixel Watch 5 as one of the easiest Wear OS watches to recommend, with faster performance, improved GPS and fitness tracking, solid battery life, and tighter Google and Gemini integration. Since no other Pixel Watch 5 versions are currently discounted, the Walmart offer stands out as the point where the LTE upgrade stops being a luxury and becomes the smartest value.
