Summary
tvOS 27.2 is Apple TV’s first update since tvOS 27 launched in September, adding shuffled screen savers, FaceTime links, and Siri Remote visibility in the Find My app.
FaceTime on Apple TV now supports third-party sign language interpreters and live captioning services, while still relying on an iPhone as a Continuity Camera webcam.
Apple also lets users pick specific iPhone photos for screen savers without sharing an entire library, a change aimed at shared-home privacy and easier personalization.
The free update is available for 2021’s second-generation Apple TV 4K and newer models, though some features remain limited to the new A19-based Apple TV 4K.
