Julia Stiles Exits DWTS on 69/80 as 2 Couples Post Perfect 80/80

Q: How did a mere one-point cumulative difference alter the fate of the two perfect-scoring couples on DWTS Disney Night?

That single point decided immunity. Harry Shum Jr. and Jenna Johnson and Jenna Dewan and Val Chmerkovskiy both earned perfect 40/40 scores on Disney Night, but the tiebreaker for next week’s dance-off immunity was cumulative season score. Harry and Jenna entered the tiebreak with 236 total points for the season, while Jenna and Val had 235. Because Harry and Jenna were ahead by one point overall, they won the immunity even though both couples were equally perfect on the night itself. The margin mattered strategically, not on the Disney Night leaderboard. After the team dances, both couples still finished tied at 80/80, but only Harry and Jenna got protection from elimination risk in next week’s dance-off round. Jenna and Val, despite matching them score-for-score that night, did not receive that safeguard because they trailed by one point across the season. So the one-point cumulative edge turned an otherwise dead-even result into a meaningful competitive advantage for Harry and Jenna.

Q: What hidden strengths did Julia Stiles discover before her surprising elimination despite a passionate Hamilton-inspired performance?

Julia Stiles said the show helped her uncover inner strength rooted in openness and vulnerability. Before her elimination, she had described *Dancing With the Stars* as a chance to “stay open and vulnerable and not run away from it,” adding that the experience was about “finding my own strength.” That reflected a broader personal breakthrough during the season. Stiles had also said her goal was to “keep letting people in and not shut down,” especially after difficult judging and emotional setbacks. In that sense, the hidden strengths she discovered were resilience, emotional honesty and the ability to keep pushing through discomfort in a very public competition. Those qualities stood out even though she and partner Ezra Sosa were sent home after scoring 33 out of 40 for their *Hamilton*-inspired paso doble to “Satisfied.” Sosa praised her work ethic and passion, saying it was an honor to partner with her, reinforcing the idea that her growth on the show went beyond the scoreboard.
