Summary
$949 Redmagic 12 Pro brings RGB lighting into its transparent liquid-cooling loop, extending the gaming-phone aesthetic to the cooling system itself.
130kPa cooling pressure is 85% higher than the prior generation, and Redmagic pairs the loop with a built-in fan and vapor chamber to handle the Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6.
12GB or 16GB of RAM, up to 1TB of storage, an 8,400mAh battery, 80W charging and a 185Hz display round out the headline specs, while the 3.5mm headphone jack is gone.
IP69 protection covers most of the phone, but the fan area is only IPX8 with no dust rating, and the under-display 16-megapixel selfie camera remains weak for photos.
November 12 preorders and November 18 shipping come with a higher entry price than before: the 12 Pro starts $200 above the 11 Pro and tops out at $1,199.
