Summary
iOS 27.2, released last week, adds two headline usability upgrades: Apple Podcasts now separates Up Next into New Episodes and Continue Playing, and Photos expands Shared Albums editing and management.
The Podcasts change tackles a long-running queue problem by keeping in-progress episodes from being displaced by newly released ones, making the Home tab easier to follow.
Photos Shared Albums now let users edit captions and comments, warn before albums expire, and flag duplicate uploads so participants can save important photos and avoid reposting.
Apple also rolled out other iOS 27.2 additions across CarPlay, Find My, Siri AI, Messages and iPhone Duo, extending the update beyond the two standout features.
