Summary
Southlake police arrested Melissa Rycroft-Strickland, 43, on Nov. 1 after investigators linked her to a Halloween hit-and-run involving a stopped fire department ambulance.
At about 5:50 p.m. Oct. 31, the ambulance was waiting at a stop sign when another vehicle struck it and left; officers later found Rycroft-Strickland, and no injuries were reported.
She was charged with driving while intoxicated, accident involving damage over $200 and driving with an invalid license, then taken to Keller Regional Detention Facility.
The arrest comes about two months after she was sentenced to probation in a separate DWI case tied to a September 2025 incident, while police said the new investigation remains ongoing.
