Summary
iOS 27.3 beta 1 brings the iPhone Duo’s redesigned StandBy experience to iPhone 11 and newer models, widening access to features that had been exclusive to Apple’s latest handset.
The update adds redesigned Analog and Digital clock faces, plus new Calendar and Weather faces, extending the more customizable StandBy interface beyond the Duo.
Shared Albums now work with the Photos face, and users can create multiple versions of the same StandBy face with different colors and complications, then swipe between them.
StandBy—introduced in iOS 17 as a smart-display mode for iPhones charging in landscape—is expected to get these broader upgrades when iOS 27.3 launches in December.
