Dan Dakich on Tuesday attacked Joe Scarborough after the MSNBC host said he had "had enough" of Pat McAfee "ruining College GameDay" and urged ESPN executives to step in.
Scarborough framed McAfee's role on the show as part of a broader "manosphere" culture and said backlash to his antics reflected growing rejection of that style.
Dakich dismissed Scarborough and his panel as outsiders who "know absolutely nothing about football" and said their commentary on football culture made them "look like idiots."
He also challenged Scarborough's account of a recent Utah incident, saying no protest signs were held up and pointing instead to an official University of Utah X post criticizing McAfee.
The exchange adds to McAfee's long-running status as one of ESPN's most polarizing personalities, especially through his prominent role on "College GameDay."
