Summary
Box unveiled Architect at BoxWorks 2026, a natural-language tool that lets users describe a document workflow in plain English and have Box generate the steps, decisions and controls.
Architect applies existing permissions, classifications and retention policies, supports human review before publishing, and can monitor live workflows to suggest improvements over time.
Box also introduced a Context Retrieval engine built on Nvidia’s Nemotron Retriever model; Box said internal tests showed 20% better search accuracy, fourfold faster question-answering and up to 90% fewer downstream tokens.
Both products are aimed at Enterprise Advanced customers: Architect enters beta in Q4 2026, while Context Retrieval is slated for general availability early next year; Box did not disclose pricing.
