Summary
Sayed Mohassib was led from a Brooklyn precinct in handcuffs Saturday after being charged with second-degree murder in the Oct. 30 killing of Katie Suarez.
Police say Suarez, 28, was stabbed in the neck several times in an unprovoked attack while running on a popular Brooklyn jogging and biking path.
Mohassib told police he woke up covered in blood and could not remember the attack, then said he threw the knife in the garbage, according to the New York Post.
Mohassib briefly served with the NYPD before leaving for the Marines, where he was later deemed unfit for service, the Post reported.
