The Japanese food company posted net profit of Y2.06bn for the quarter ended 31 March, versus Y2.81bn a year earlier, with revenue edging up to Y67.56bn.
Operating profit fell to Y4.12bn from Y4.83bn, while earnings per share dropped to Y22.68 from Y30.19 under IFRS reporting standards.
The results indicate weaker profitability despite slightly higher sales in the latest quarter, with diluted earnings also declining to Y22.65 from Y30.15.
