Boseman Brothers Sue Widow Over $3.8 Million Estate, Seeking Her Removal

Los Angeles court filings show Derrick and Kevin Boseman petitioned to force distribution of Chadwick Boseman’s $3.8 million estate and remove widow Taylor Simone Ledward as administrator.
The brothers, acting for parents Leroy and Carolyn Boseman, say Ledward has still not distributed the estate, kept unilateral control and failed to provide transparency over assets and a company managing his image rights.
A court previously ruled that Boseman’s widow should receive 50% of the estate, with 25% each going to his parents, after the actor died in 2020 without a will.
The filing says the alleged misconduct is harming Boseman’s elderly parents financially and emotionally, while Ledward’s lawyer had not commented at the time of publication.
