Hawaii's Department of Health told residents not to feed children select Pumpkin Tree Peter Rabbit Organics Banana & Strawberry pouches sold at Target and to discard them or return them for a refund.
The 4-ounce pouches may contain a soft, food-grade plastic strand caused by an internal packaging defect, creating an injury or choking hazard.
Affected products carry barcode 8 15367 01078 0, lane number 4 on the rear right-hand seam, and best-before dates of Jan. 19-20, March 17-18, and May 14-15, 2027.
No injuries or illnesses have been reported in Hawaii, and the state said it is working with local stores to remove the recalled items from sale.
The Hawaii alert follows PT Organics' nationwide recall of more than 380,000 pouches distributed through Target, Kroger and Meijer.
