Reid said Eric Bieniemy remains with his wife as Kansas City opens training camp, after she was hospitalized with multiple gunshot wounds earlier this week.
Elijah Zion Bieniemy, 27, was arrested Sunday and charged with malicious wounding, use of a firearm in commission of a felony, and discharging a firearm inside a dwelling.
The son is being held without bond in Loudoun County, while Eric Bieniemy has stepped away from camp after returning to the Chiefs this year as offensive coordinator.
