$16 million in upgrades will debut at Detroit Golf Club this week as the Rocket Classic becomes the penultimate event before the FedExCup Playoffs.
Detroit Golf Club now plays as a par 70 at 7,328 yards, with holes 7 and 17 converted into par 4s, only two par 5s remaining, and 91 bunkers after a full restoration.
Jackson Koivun, 21, arrives after his first PGA TOUR win at the 3M Open, a victory that lifted him to No. 70 in the FedExCup standings.
Aldrich Potgieter returns to defend the title he won in a five-hole playoff, while Cameron Young, Wyndham Clark, Xander Schauffele, Jordan Spieth and Brooks Koepka headline the field.
The winner earns 500 FedExCup points, leaving players one final regular-season stop after Detroit to improve playoff position.
