Apple Adds 4 Apple Pay Features in iOS 27 as Amex Points Redeem at 0.7 Cents

Apple unveiled four Apple Pay upgrades, led by an iOS 27 checkout redesign that lets users swipe between cards, open a full card grid, and view rewards, balances and pay-later details more easily.
American Express cardholders will also get a new “Use Rewards” option in Apple Pay for online and in-app purchases, with Membership Rewards redeemed at 0.7 cents per point—worth $70 for 10,000 points.
Tap to Share, due this fall, will let shoppers connect to a merchant’s iPhone to securely share contact, shipping and loyalty details, view basket items in real time, and then complete payment with Apple Pay.
Later this year, Apple Pay will also support adding money to eligible debit cards directly in Wallet or during checkout, extending Apple’s push to make the service more central to everyday payments.
