Summary
10 kg of heroin, 11 foreign-made weapons, 22 magazines and 100 cartridges were seized in Rajasthan's Bikaner after police intercepted a late-night border consignment and detained suspect Virendra Singh.
Operation Shock Wave targeted the 8 KYD area along the India-Pakistan border, where investigators say drones dropped the shipment from across the frontier for pickup and onward movement.
Police said the heroin appears linked to Afghanistan, and the consignment was allegedly headed toward Punjab before the interception; a motorcycle used in the operation was also seized.
Bikaner officials called the haul a major blow to cross-border narcotics and arms smuggling, with the case now handed to Rural ASP B L Meena for further investigation ahead of Independence Day.
