Three Mayo Clinic campuses—Rochester, Arizona and Florida—made U.S. News & World Report’s 2026-2027 Best Hospitals Honor Roll, with each campus also ranking No. 1 in its state.
Rochester kept its title as Minnesota’s best hospital and placed in the national top five in 10 specialties, including No. 1 in diabetes and endocrinology and in gastroenterology and GI surgery.
Compared with last year, Rochester slipped out of the top five in obstetrics and gynecology and geriatrics, while ear, nose and throat was dropped as an overall ranked category.
U.S. News also added four regional specialty rankings this year, and Rochester took Minnesota’s No. 1 spot in all four: cancer care, cardiology, orthopedics and rehabilitation.
In Minnesota’s broader hospital list, M Health Fairview University of Minnesota Medical Center ranked No. 2 behind Mayo, followed by M Health Fairview Southdale Hospital at No. 3.
