Spectrum Extends 1-Gig Internet to 900+ Seminole County Sites, Pledges $15,000 Digital-Education Grant

More than 900 Seminole County homes and small businesses can now get Spectrum Internet, mobile, TV and voice service as the company says its local network expansion is nearing completion.
The buildout is part of Spectrum’s multi-year rural initiative, backed by more than $7 billion in private investment to add 100,000 miles of fiber and reach 1.7 million new U.S. locations.
$15,000 will go to Christian Tech Center Ministries at an Aug. 6 event in Longwood, where Spectrum plans to fund digital-access and literacy programs for students and families.
Florida and local officials said the expansion and grant help narrow the digital divide, linking broadband access to education, small-business growth and wider economic opportunity in Seminole County.
