Three Virginia teens pulled two adults and a 3-year-old boy from Culpeper Lake after the family’s kayaks capsized during Eastern View High golf tryouts on July 27.
Andrew Tuggle, 15, and 17-year-olds Gavin Cain and Jackson Castro heard screams near the second hole, dropped their clubs, ran down a steep shoreline and swam the family back before first responders arrived.
No one was injured, and police said the teens also retrieved the kayaks; Tuggle told WUSA one adult was struggling to keep the child above water.
