Washoe County, EmployNV to Host 3,000-Job Reno Career Fair on Aug. 24

Nearly 100 employers are set to offer about 3,000 jobs at a free Reno career fair from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Aug. 24 at the Reno-Sparks Convention Center.
Interview space will be available on-site, allowing employers to meet candidates directly and potentially make same-day job offers.
EmployNV and partner groups will also provide résumé help, interview preparation, free job-training information, financial assistance guidance and disability-focused career resources.
Tesla, Panasonic, Redwood Materials, FedEx Freight, the Washoe County School District, Reno-Tahoe Airport Authority and Saint Mary’s Regional Medical Center are among the expected employers.
County and state workforce officials say the event is aimed at linking northern Nevada job seekers with local openings and support services as employers continue hiring in a tougher economy.
