'petal' opened at No. 1 in the UK, giving Ariana Grande her sixth consecutive chart-topping album and extending the run she built from 2016's 'Dangerous Woman' through 2024's 'eternal sunshine'.
The debut comes just before Grande returns to Britain next week for her 'eternal sunshine' tour, which includes 10 sold-out shows at London's O2.
Michael Jackson's 'The Essential' entered at No. 2, while Olivia Rodrigo's 'you seem pretty sad for a girl so in love' held at No. 3.
Elsewhere in the chart, Katy Perry's 'The Ones That Got the Plays' climbed three places to a new No. 8 peak, and Luke Combs' 'The Way I Am' re-entered the Top 20 at No. 15 after stadium dates in London and Edinburgh.
