One UI 9.5 firmware for the Galaxy S26, S26+ and S26 Ultra is already in development, with a reported build ending in CHZ1, even as Samsung is still running the One UI 9 beta.
That accelerated timetable stands out because One UI 8.5 work for the Galaxy S25 series did not begin until mid-September last year, pointing to a faster software cycle for the S26 lineup.
An earlier start could bring the official One UI 9.5 beta ahead of its predecessor, which launched in early December 2025.
One UI 9, based on Android 17, debuted earlier this month on Samsung's new foldables, while the Galaxy S26 series has been in beta since May and is still expected to get at least one more update.
