Summary
Michelle Wilson, 61, was fatally shot on her front porch in North Philadelphia shortly before midnight Sunday, and her 67-year-old husband was wounded but remained in stable condition.
Surveillance video captured a man carrying a gun moments before the shooting on the 2800 block of North 24th Street, and detectives are trying to identify him.
Police said Wilson was shot in the neck and back and died at Temple University Hospital, while her husband suffered a gunshot wound to the buttocks.
Evidence markers lined the street, sidewalk and porch as the Crime Scene Unit processed the scene; no arrests have been announced and investigators have not said what led to the attack.
Philadelphia's Homicide Unit is leading the investigation and asked anyone with information to call 215-686-3334 or the anonymous tip line at 215-686-TIPS.
