Summary
Police said Wilson was pronounced dead at 12:04 a.m. after she and her husband were shot outside their home on the 2800 block of North 24th Street around 11:49 p.m.
At least 20 shell casings were scattered across the porch, stairs, sidewalk and street; Wilson was shot in the neck and back, while her husband was hit in the buttocks and listed in stable condition.
Surveillance video shows a man in a baseball cap and medical mask approaching with what appeared to be a handgun, but investigators still do not know whether the couple were the intended targets.
No gun has been recovered and no arrests have been made as detectives review footage and seek tips, with Philadelphia offering a $20,000 reward in the homicide case.
Neighbors and a friend said the couple had recently opened a food truck outside their home and described Wilson as kind and hardworking; the killing came as Philadelphia's 108 homicides this year run about 21% below 2025.
