Sonos FCC Filing Reveals Ace Ultra Headphones With 5 Colors and 2.4/5GHz Support

FCC documents identify Sonos’s next headphones as the Ace Ultra, model S52A, pointing to a launch in the coming weeks or months after CEO Tom Conrad hinted at a fall successor.
One filing includes an ear-cup diagram labeled “Sonos Ace Ultra,” while the paperwork also lists five finishes: greige, shadow black, agave, blush and sand.
Testing on 2.4GHz and 5GHz local networks suggests the new model could extend beyond the original Ace’s TV-swapping feature and potentially add Wi-Fi music streaming tied to the Sonos ecosystem.
The update comes more than 2 years after the first Ace debuted and was hurt by Sonos’s troubled app redesign, a setback the company has since worked to recover from with newer releases.
