The hometown crowd is more likely to help Jeremiah Wells emotionally, but it probably will not be enough to overcome the technical matchup against Myktybek Orolbai. Wells has openly said fighting in Philadelphia is a dream come true, and the local energy could sharpen his urgency and confidence. As the only featured Philadelphia-area fighter, he should get a strong lift from a crowd that knows his story: a late starter, former union worker, and West Philly native who has fought through injuries, layoffs and a recent skid. That matters, especially for a veteran coming off a needed rebound win over Themba Gorimbo. But the risk is that emotion can push Wells into the kind of fight Orolbai wants. UFC 330’s official pre-fight press conference is scheduled for 6 p.m. ET on August 13 at Xfinity Mobile Arena in Philadelphia, days before the promotion’s first trip back to the city since 2019.
